Compare and Contrast

To compare and contrast, respect and disrespect, is a way of seeing and anazlying how other people act, on respectful ways and disrespectful ways. I used a video from the show teen mom, and how the couple respect or disrespect themselves. Amber and Gary have a child and they constantly argue. To compare Respect is good and shows that you care. Disrespect shows that you don't care about yourself and other people. To compare both of them would have to be people expressing there feelings either way. This video with the two people dicussing their feelings about what happen when they were fighting(in a calm manner) is respectful. When they were fighting on Amber putting her hands on her boyfriend was very disrespectful and could have been avoided, with a calm mannerd tone and talked things out, and fight infront of their daughter. This just a little demo on compare/contrast on respect. Where they talked about there problems and how it could be avoided.
These two videos are the ways that they are compared and contrast because both of them are talking about their inside feelings and how they feel about one another. The first video, they are being very disrespectful to there parents. Although Maci is very calm and relaxed, talking to Dr.Oz about how she feels and what really matters to her.

Certain people have a way of saying things that shake us at the core. Even when the words do not seem harsh or offensive, the impact is shattering. What we could be experiencing is the intent behind the words. When we intend to do good, we do. When we intend to do harm, it happens. What each of us must come to realize is that our intent always comes through. We cannot sugarcoat the feelings in our heart of hearts. The emotion is the energy that motivates. We cannot ignore what we really want to create. We should be honest and do it the way we feel it. What we owe to ourselves and everyone around is to examine the reasons of our true intent. http://thinkexist.com/quotations/respect/

We have to determine whether the outcome will be good or not, if we respect when another in a confronation, a simple question, in a normal conversation. Respecting your boss, can keep you the job in any circumstance or any situation. Respect is something that should always be on your side.

I'm reading a book called something on the side, it has a whole bunch of characters who need to get there selves in check with one another. This book is an overview of my whole lesson on respect. Something on the side: Eygpt has a sister, and her name is Isis..they are always together all the time and they tell each other everything. Eygpt has a better good life and is in a serious relationship with her signifcant lover. She has an ex boyfriend that loves her to death and is basically obessed with her. Eygpt boyfriend starts a fight with her ex boyfriend, Tony, and then months pass and then came to find out that. Isis and her ex-boyfriend are dating. My opinion on this book relates to respect because, first off they are suppose to be sisters and then you don't have respect for one another to do something like that.(Weber, Feburary 28). My other reason is that fighting doesn't solve anything. That problem could have been avoided by them talking things out and not resulting in a fight. If they had more respect for each other they, would have been okay. As I said in my last blog respect gets you out of situations when you are the bigger person and you overlook childlish things, and you gain more respect for yourself. Gaining more respect for yourself and, other peole then there shall be no problem. Back to, the book and the sisters Eygpt and Isis, they dont have respect for one another because, shes willing to take her sisters ex-boyfriends man and then rub it in her face. That's conveing and disrespectful. She didn't have to go up to her and yell in her face about her doing things like that. Everybody has to evaulate thereselves and analyze before they say anything to anyone.

Personal Essay

I've have experienced different types of attiudes, and people that have disrespected  me, there are ways to get around, in that matter and be able to ignore what people say and what they act towards me. When I was younger, I always went off on somebody and didn't really care about other people's feelings. Now that I'm older and I actually can watch what I say to other people. Being respectful, and showing others that I can be nice in anyway. I have a postive attitude that will take me a far. If I get into an allitercation with another person that is yelling in my face or is using foul language, I can over look them, and answer them with a postive attiude without hurting there feelings or being rude. Back when I was younger if I was in the same postition I would have been rude or caused a fight. I ask myself, why, argue with igronant people, if there not going to do nothing for me in the future. This famous quote that I will live for, for the rest of my life, that will always have a high value on me and be remembered is:      Don't rely on someone else for your happiness and self worth. Only you can be responsible for that. If you can't love and respect yourself - no one else will be able to make that happen. Accept who you are - completely; the good and the bad - and make changes as YOU see fit - not because you think someone else wants you to be different.” By. Stacy Charter. This quote has already had it's meaning said and done. I look at myself and say "I have came along way from what I use to do, and how I act now, and that's all that matters. I have grown over the years, and learned how to respect other people. I look at myself different!
